Hello, I’m Brittany.

I help small businesses and independent professionals bring their ideas to life through clear, compelling messages that connect with their ideal audience.

Growing Where I’m Rooted

As a San Diego native, few things could pull me away from 266 days of sunshine every year. After being accepted into San Diego State University, I decided to stay in the city to pursue my higher education.

Upon completing my B.A. in English with a focus on education, I went on to complete the M.A. program, where I had the incredible opportunity to teach a Rhetoric and Writing Studies course at SDSU.

Creativity Meets Strategy

After graduating, I decided to jump headfirst into the field of financial marketing and was hooked on combining my instructional background with my compositional expertise.

From teaching university-level writing to leading financial marketing campaigns, one of my biggest motivators is the power of language to spark understanding, build trust, and inspire action.

Areas of Practice

While advancing my career and expanding my marketing knowledge in the financial sector, I also began freelancing for other small businesses across various niches.

With a Master’s Degree in English and years of experience, my in-depth knowledge of language and communication empowers me to apply my advanced skills to an ever-growing number of industries.

My Words Their Pages

A hearty thanks for the great article! You certainly have a great command of the language. My favorite description of writing talent is that “you have to love the way the words rub together.” It appears you certainly have that!

“Catching-up on some reading, and REALLY appreciated Brittany Maples’ article in this month’s Broker World Magazine.

If you are prospecting Milennials or Gen Z, this read is a must!”

On a Personal Level

I’m social, competitive, and love living in Downtown San Diego and walking to Petco Park for Padres games, Little Italy for the farmer’s market, or Gallagher Square for concerts.
